Seven people, four games, no fixed format
ArmoomrA Games is a small independent studio designing games across dice, cards, apps and podcasts — a team spread across Portugal, Germany, France, Armenia and Pakistan, working together since 2020.
Team
Who's behind the games
Francisco Chaves
CEO & Game Design
Francisco Chaves is the CEO of ArmoomrA Games. He is a music teacher from Portugal, currently based in Krefeld, Germany. He speaks 9 languages and loves to swim.
Gayane Nersisyan
Danetkas Co-Creator
Gayane is the co-creator of Danetkas. She can play games 25/7 — she wakes up 1 hour earlier to do so. She loves to travel and learn languages.
Mafalda Maia
Graphic Design & Illustration · Volcanic Dice, Frontstabbing
A designer and illustrator based in Portugal, and the hand behind the sketchy, hand-drawn world of Volcanic Dice and Frontstabbing. Also an amateur pedestrian, birdwatcher, filatelist and homebrewer. More at mafaldamaia.com.
Anna Hamamjan
Illustration · Danetkas
Illustrates every Danetkas story, one riddle at a time. A self-described introvert who could draw all day, adores dogs enough to be writing a comic about canine psychology, and unwinds with animation, music, petanque and tennis.
Lilith Gasparyan
Design · Danetkas
Designs the Danetkas experience, and believes the best ideas arrive in dreams — which may explain the sleeping in. Other loves: tennis, singing, and broccoli.
Nairi Lokmagyozyan
Design · Danetkas
A self-confessed perfectionist that refuses to repeat a solution twice. Guards her own schedule fiercely — and guards breakfast even more fiercely, her favorite time of day.
Syed Asadullah Shah
Web & App Development · Danetkas, The Middle, Volcanic Dice
Built the Danetkas app, The Middle's web app, and the Volcanic Dice website. An ambivert with a perfectionist streak — happy to rebuild a project from scratch to get it right — and an unapologetic sports car enthusiast.
What we care about
Design values, in practice
Balanced risk
Luck and strategy share the table in every game we make — neither one is allowed to dominate.
Icons over instructions
Volcanic Dice and Frontstabbing teach themselves through icons, so the table doesn't need a shared language.
Real replayability
Randomized maps, bluffable bids, fresh riddles — the twentieth play should still surprise you.
Format-agnostic
If the idea works better as a podcast or an app than a box on a shelf, we build it that way.
